US $750 Fast-Track Visa Interview: Is Pakistan Included? (2026)

The US State Department is testing a paid fast-track for visitor visa interviews: pay an extra $750 and you can get a B-1/B-2 interview slot within about ten business days. The catch for Pakistani travellers is that the pilot runs only at a handful of US missions in the Americas. Based on the sources we reviewed, Pakistan is not among them. Here is what the programme is, who can use it, and what to do instead if you are applying from Pakistan.

The US expedited-appointment pilot is a six-month test, not a permanent service.

What the $750 pilot is

The pilot covers B-1 (business) and B-2 (tourism) visitor visas only and runs from 1 July to 31 December 2026, after which the State Department will decide whether to keep, change or end it. You first complete your DS-160, pay the standard $185 visa fee and book a normal appointment. If your post participates and premium slots are open, you can then pay the extra $750 online to take an earlier interview. The total for one applicant is therefore about $935.

Which US missions offer it

The programme started at the US Embassy and consulates in Mexico on 21 July 2026. On 18 August 2026 it expanded to Canada (embassy and all consulates) and the embassies in Bogotá, Guatemala City, San José and Tegucigalpa. Law-firm and visa-news updates published after that expansion do not list Pakistan, India or any other South Asian post, and say more posts may be added during the pilot. We could not open the State Department’s own page during this check, so confirm the current list on travel.state.gov before assuming anything has changed.

Warning for Pakistani applicants: if a website or agent in Pakistan offers to sell you a “$750 fast-track US interview” through the Islamabad embassy or Karachi consulate, treat it with great caution. The US Embassy in Pakistan’s own visa page does not mention this pilot, and appointments must be booked through the official USTravelDocs system only.

The fine print

  • Not refundable or transferable
  • No refund if the visa is refused
  • Does not guarantee approval
  • Does not speed up administrative processing
  • Missing the slot forfeits the $750
  • Expedited slots cannot be rescheduled
  • 10-minute window to pay once you select a slot
  • Interview-waiver (drop-box) applicants are not eligible

In short, the fee buys an earlier interview date and nothing else. Your case is judged on the same standards as everyone else’s, and any security or administrative checks run on their normal timeline.

What Pakistani applicants should do now

The US Embassy in Pakistan says that since 11 August 2025 most nonimmigrant visa applicants need an in-person interview, with limited waiver exceptions, for example some B-1/B-2 renewals within 12 months of a previous full-validity visa expiring. Book through the official USTravelDocs Pakistan site after completing your DS-160 and paying the fee. The embassy advises applying at least six months before travel and not buying non-refundable tickets before you have the visa. It also notes that some cases go into administrative processing, most of which are resolved within 60 days, and applicants should wait at least 90 days before asking about status.

For genuine emergencies such as medical needs, the embassy offers expedited appointments through USTravelDocs, but the requirements are strict and you will need supporting evidence. Your best preparation is a consistent DS-160, clear proof of ties to Pakistan, and a realistic travel plan.

Quick answers

Can I pay $750 for a faster US visa interview in Pakistan? Not according to the sources we found; participating posts are in Mexico, Canada and Central/South America as of the August 2026 update.

Does the $750 fee improve my chances? No. It only moves the interview date earlier.

Could Pakistan be added later? It is possible, since the State Department says posts may be added, but nothing has been announced for Pakistan in the sources we reviewed.

Visa rules, fees and participating posts change often. Always confirm the latest details on the official US State Department and US Embassy Pakistan websites before you apply.
