Turkey Visa for Pakistanis 2026: E-Visa vs Embassy Sticker Visa, Documents & Rules

Planning Istanbul, Cappadocia or Antalya? Pakistani ordinary-passport holders need a visa for Türkiye, and there is no visa on arrival. The good news is that there are two routes, and one of them takes only minutes online. Which one you get depends on whether you already hold a valid visa or residence permit from certain Western countries.

Route 1: The e-Visa (if you hold a supporting visa)

According to Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistani ordinary-passport holders who have a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa or residence permit can apply for a single-entry e-Visa at the official portal, www.evisa.gov.tr. The e-Visa is for tourism or business only, and for Pakistan it is valid for one month, single entry.

Secondary sources report a portal total of roughly US$66 to US$68, but the fee shown at checkout is what counts, so check it on the official site. The supporting visa must still be valid on the day you enter Türkiye, and another country’s e-visa does not count. Keep your return ticket, hotel booking and proof of funds ready in case you are asked at the airport.

Route 2: The sticker visa from the Embassy (everyone else)

If you do not hold one of those visas, you must apply for a sticker visa through the Turkish Embassy in Islamabad. The Embassy’s notice says applications go only through two designated centres, Anatolia Travel Services and Gateway Management Logistics. It also warns that appointments booked through the online system are not valid.

Beware of look-alike agents and paid “slots”. Only use the two centres named by the Embassy. Check their contact details on the Embassy’s website, not on a social media advert.

The Embassy’s checklist for a tourist visit includes the items below. Requirements can differ by visa type, so confirm your own list with the centre.

  • Signed application form and cover letter
  • Two 5×5 cm biometric photos
  • Passport valid 6+ months beyond arrival
  • Travel health insurance (min. EUR 30,000 / USD 50,000)
  • Polio certificate (issued within the past year)
  • Flight and hotel reservations (not tickets)
  • NADRA family registration certificate
  • Employment letter and 3 months of salary slips, or business proof
  • NTN / tax certificates
  • Bank statements for the last 3 months

Fees are set by the Embassy in rupees and can change. Check the current fee table with the application centre before you pay, as published figures differ between sources.

Which route should you choose?

If you already have a valid Schengen, US, UK or Irish visa, the e-Visa is usually faster and needs no appointment. If you do not, plan ahead for the sticker visa and apply well before your travel date, since the Embassy publishes no fixed processing time. Do not buy non-refundable flights or hotels until your visa is approved.

Tip: Your cover letter, bank statements and NADRA certificate should tell one consistent story about who is travelling, why, and how the trip is funded. Mismatches are a common reason for refusals.

Quick answers

Is there a visa on arrival for Pakistanis in Türkiye? No. Ordinary-passport holders need either an e-Visa (with a supporting visa) or an Embassy sticker visa.

Can I use an e-visa from another country as the supporting visa? Reports say no. You need a visa or residence permit from the Schengen area, the US, the UK or Ireland.

Does the e-Visa allow work or study? No. It covers tourism and business only; work and study visas are issued by Turkish missions.

Do I need a polio certificate? The Embassy’s checklist lists one for sticker-visa applications, so keep a current certificate ready.

Visa rules and fees change often. Always confirm the latest requirements on the official Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and e-Visa websites, or with the Embassy, before you apply.
